Blackberry Smoothie

Blackberry Smoothie.

Blackberries are blended with plain yogurt into a smoothie. Honey or sugar can be used as a sweetener. Serve blackberry smoothie immediately .
Makes: 2 Servings of Blackberry Smoothie.

Ingredients:

Blackberries 8 – 10
Plain or Vanilla Thick Yogurt 1 1/2 Cups
Honey to Taste
Ice Cubes 5 – 7

Method of preparation:

Wash blackberries under water and drain them.
Blend together blackberries, thick yogurt and honey smoothly.
Add the ice cubes (if using) and pulse couple of times.
Pour the blackberry smoothie onto serving glasses and Serve immediately.
Notes: Make sure not to blend too much once the ice cubes are added.

Suggestions: Add sugar syrup or sugar in place of honey if desired.
Variations: Add greek yogurt in place of plain thick yogurt if you wish.
Other Names: Blackberry Smoothie.

Raspberry Milk Shake

Raspberry Milk Shake.

Raspberries are pounded along with sugar and almonds. It is then shaken with plain chilled milk. Honey is used as a sweetener. Serve raspberry milk shake immediately .
Makes: around 2 Servings of Raspberry Milk Shake.

Ingredients:

Raspberries 1 Cup Fresh or Frozen
Plain Chilled Milk 2 Cups
Sugar 1 Tbsp
Sliced Blanched Almonds 2 Tbsps
Honey to Taste
Ice Cubes 5 – 7 (optional)

Method of preparation:

Wash raspberries under water and drain them.
Dissolve honey in few tablespoons of water and keep aside.

Using a pestle, thoroughly crush the raspberries, sugar and a tbsp of almonds.
Add the pounded raspberry mixture and honey to the chilled milk and thoroughly shake to combine.

Pour the raspberry milk shake onto serving glasses along with ice cubes (if using)
Garnish with a tbsp of sliced almonds and serve raspberry milk shake immediately.
Notes: Make sure not to blend too much once the ice cubes are added.

Suggestions: Adjust sweetener according to your preference. Add sugar syrup in place of honey if desired.
Variations: Use almond milk in place of plain milk for a variation.

Lemony Ginger Tea

Lemony Ginger Tea.

Fresh ginger is mashed and boiled in water with tea powder and peppercorns. Serve lemony ginger tea immediately.
Makes: One Serving of Lemony Ginger Tea.

Ingredients:

Tea Powder 1 tsp
Ginger 1 inch Piece
Black Peppercorns 1 – 2
Lemon 1/2
Honey 1 Tbsp or to Taste

Method of preparation:

Crush the peppercorns and keep aside.
Peel, wash and mash the ginger.

Heat around a cup of water in a sauce pot, add tea powder, crushed peppercorns and mashed ginger.
Boil for around a minute, strain into a cup.
Stir in lemon juice and honey to the tea.
Serve lemony ginger tea immediately.
Notes: Make sure not to adjust tea powder according to your preference.

Suggestions: You can also use green tea instead.
Variations: Add sugar instead of honey if you wish.
Other Names: Lemony Ginger Tea.

Blueberry Banana Smoothie

Blueberry Banana Smoothie.

Blueberries are blended with chilled milk into thick smoothie along with ripe banana. Honey is added for sweetness and blanched almonds for garnish. Serve blueberry banana smoothie immediately.
Makes: around a Glass of Blueberry Banana Smoothie.

Ingredients:

Blueberries 1/4 Cup
Chilled Milk 1 Cup
Ripe Banana 1
Honey to Taste
Sliced Blanched Almonds for Garnish

Method of preparation:

Peel and the banana and roughly chop it.

Blend all the ingredients in a blender smoothly.
Pour into a serving glass and serve immediately.
Notes: Make sure to blend the blueberries well.

Suggestions: Adjust sweetness with honey.
Variations: Substitute honey with sugar if you wish.
Other Names: Blueberry Banana Smoothie.
