Guava Salad

Guava Salad.

Guava is lightly scraped if its bruised. Guava is then washed and sliced into thin strips. The sliced guava is then mixed with red chile powder and lemon juice along with cilantro. Serve guava salad.
Makes: around 2 Servings of Guava Salad.


Fresh Guava 2
Lemon Juice 1 Tbsp
Cilantro few Leaves
Red Chile Powder 1/4 tsp
Salt to Taste

Method of preparation:

Wash guava thoroughly, remove ends and slice the guava into thin strips.
Wash and finely chop the cilantro leaves.

In a mixing bowl, mix together sliced guava, lemon juice, cilantro, red chile powder and salt.
Mix well and serve guava salad in serving bowls.
Notes: Select guava that are not too ripe nor too raw.

Suggestions: If guava is too ripe, don’t use cilantro in the recipe. If guava is too raw, let the guava ripen in next few days before making this salad.
