Mustardy Mashed Potatoes

Russet Potato 2
Onion 1
Whole Red Chiles 2
Mustard Oil 2 tbsps
Salt to taste

Method of preparation:

Place the whole red chiles directly on flame or on hot plate for few seconds to crisp it a bit.
Peel and finely chop onion.
Boil the potatoes in few cups of water until soft and cooked from inside.
Peel the skin and roughly chop the potatoes.

In a mixing bowl, add boiled potatoes, red chiles, mustard oil and salt.
Mash everything together and stir in chopped onion.
Serve with steamed rice and any dal.

Notes: Russet potato, Yukon gold potato, Caribe potato, and purple potatoes are good for mashed potatoes. Turn the mashed potatoes into tight balls if you wish.
