Ingredients:
Plain Flour 1 cup
Rice Flour 2 tbsps
Jaggery (grated) 1 1/4 cup
Green Cardamom Powder a big pinch
Scraped Coconut 1/2 cup
Ghee 1 tbsp
Oil for deep frying
Method of preparation:
Mix plain flour and rice flour into thick paste adding enough water.
Heat ghee in a sauce pot, add 1 1/4 cups of jaggery, 1 1/2 cups of water and cardamom powder.
Once jaggery is completely dissolved, slowly stir in the plain flour paste.
Add scraped coconut and cook for 2 – 3 minutes or until the whole mixture thickens.
Remove from heat and cool to almost room temperature.
Once the mixture is warm, take lemon sized balls out of the mixture and flatten them on the palm into thin discs.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan on medium high heat.
Slowly drop plain flour discs into hot oil and fry on both sides until golden brown.
Remove onto absorbent paper and repeat the same until all discs are fried.
Serve hot or cold.
Notes: Make sure discs are thin else they will be uncooked inside.

ya. the mixture forms lumps cuz we are adding the flour into hot liquid. Just knead it well once the mixture cools down and everything will be fine.
