Spicy Cilantro Powder

Cilantro 4 cups packed
Urad dal 4 tsps
Cumin Seeds 2 tsps
Dried Red Chiles 5 – 8
Fenugreek Seeds 1/2 tsp
Garlic 4 pods
Salt to taste
Oil 1 tsp

Method of preparation:

Clean, wash and pat dry cilantro.
Remove stems, deseed and tear red chiles.

Heat oil in a pan, seperately fry all ingredients until aromatic.
Cool the ingredients and grind them into fine powder along with garlic and salt.
Store tight and serve with rice, idly, dosa, etc…

Notes: Squeeze half a lemon when this powder is mixed with steamed rice.
