Green Chile 2
Turmeric Powder a pinch
Besan 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Urad Dal 1/2 tsp
Mustard Seeds 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds 1/2 tsp
Broken Red Chiles 2
Oil 1 tsp
Method of preparation:
Wash, peel thick skin, remove ends and chop turnip into small cubes.
Wash and chop tomato into small pieces.
Remove stems, wash and slice green chiles.
Mix besan with few tbsps of water and break any lumps formed during the process.
Heat oil in a wok, add all talimpu ingredients in order.
When urad dal changes color, add green chiles, chopped turnip, tomato, thinned besan, turmeric powder and salt.
Pour about half a cup of water and cook covered until turnip is cooked.
Uncover and evaporate excess water.
Serve hot with rice.
Notes: Avoid tomato if you wish.
