Cauliflower 1/2 of large head
Red Potatoes 2
Green Chiles 2
Coriander Seeds 1 tbsp
Cumin Seeds 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder a pinch
Salt to taste
Urad Dal 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds 1/2 tsp
Mustard Seeds 1/2 tsp
Garlic Pods 2
Oil 1 tbsp
Method of preparation:
Peel and finely chop garlic.
Remove stems, wash and slice green chiles.
Peel and chop potatoes into small cubes.
Briefly roast and grind coriander and cumin seeds into fine powder.
Wash, remove outer leaves and break cauliflower into small florets.
Heat oil in a pan, add all talimpu ingredients in order.
When dal changes color, add garlic, green chiles and onion.
Fry breifly and add potatoes, cauliflower florets, coriander cumin powder, turmeric powder and salt.
Cook covered on medium flame until the cauliflower and potato is turned soft.
Uncover and sprinkle water if cauliflower sticks to the pan.
Once everything is cooked, fry for a minute or two to evaporate any leftover water.
Serve hot with rice.
Notes: Garnish with cilantro if you have.
