Potato Dosa

Bangala Dumpa Dosa


Potato 1 large
Rice Flour 1 cup
Plain Yogurt 1/2 cup
Green Chiles 4
Salt to taste

Method of preparation:

Remove stems, wash and halve the green chiles.
Cut in half, cook the potato in boiling water until soft.
Peel, roughly chop and grind the potato, green chiles, yogurt and salt into smooth paste adding sufficient water in a blender.
In a mixing bowl, add rice flour and above ground potato mixture.
Mix thoroughly and add more water if required to form the consistency thicker than the dosa batter.

Heat griddle on high flame, add a tsp of oil and spread evenly.
Take a ladle full of above potato dosa batter and pour on to the griddle from few inches distance.
It spreads instantly and let it roast for a minute and turn on other side carefully.
Let it stay for few seconds on other side and remove onto serving plate.
Repeat the same for remaining dosa batter to obtain more dosas.
Serve hot with chutney of your choice.

Notes: If the dosa breaks, add little rice flour and try.
