Fresh Ripe Tamarind 1
Red Chilli Powder 1/4 tsp
Salt 1/4 tsp
Cumin Powder 1/4 tsp
Oil 1 tsp

Method of preparation:

Get rid of outer layer and veins that run along the sides of fresh ripe tamarind. Then remove the seeds from each pod and use the extracted tamarind.

Using mortar and pestle, mash all the ingredients except oil thoroughly.
Finally add oil and make small balls.
Store tight and serve when needed.

Notes: Swap with normal dried tamarind if you can’t find fresh tamarind.
