Mamra Chat

Burugulu Masala


Corriander seeds 2 tsps
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Cloves 2
Cinnamon 1 inch piece
Dry coconut 2 tbsps
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil 2 tbsps

Method of preparation:

Grind corriander seeds, cumin seeds, cloves, cinnamon and dry coconut into fine powder.

Heat oil in deep vessel, add above ground powder and mamra.
Stir fry until the mamra is crisp and well coated with ground masala powder.
Remove from heat, add red chilli powder and salt.
Mix thoroughly and serve.

Notes: Choose the transparent mamra (burugulu) for this chat.

    Dry coconut in mamra is new to me!!!! I love this kind of mamra…… can just keep eating without any guilt 😉

    This is new to me too! my mom uses the usual upma stuff and kammani podi or avakaya !

    What a great snack, I make this too but my way of making it is very different. This looks and I am sure tastes great.

    @coffee dry coconut is must i say. and u r right, munch on them forever or until ur jaw supports.
