Jackfruit seeds/ Panasa ginjalu 10
Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
Urad dal 1 tsp
Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
Broken red chillies 3
Oil 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Method of preparation:
Remove jackfruit seeds from ripe jackfruit.
Wash and halve the seeds.
Pressure cook them with 1 cup of water for 4 whistles.
Cool them to room temperature and remove the plastic like skin from each seed.
Heat oil, add urad dal, mustard seeds, cumin seeds and broken red chillies.
When dal turns light brown, add cooked and peeled jackfruit seeds and salt.
Stir fry for few seconds and serve.
Notes: Add grated coconut at end if you wish.
