Tendli Salad

Dondakaya pacchadi baddhalu


Tendli/ Dondakayalu 10-15
Green Chillies 1
Grated Raw Mango 1 tbsp
Salt to taste


Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Urad dal 1 tsp
Hing (inguva) a pinch
Oil 1tsp

Method of preparation:

Wash and pat dry tendli. Chop off the ends and slice each into 1/4 inch cubes.
Half them vertically twice and dice them into small pieces.
Grind green chilli coarsely.
Heat oil and add all the talimpu ingredients. Remove when seeds start to splutter.
In a bowl, add chopped tendli, grated mango, ground green chilli, above talimpu and salt.
Mix thorougly and serve.

Notes: Tastes great when eaten fresh.

    Hi raji, really different. Where you got all these. Dondakaya with raw mango. How its,…….but its looks yummy. Mee recipes chala pending lo unnai raji 🙂 Tondarlo ne try chestanu. Thanks for sharing……

    nee recipe bagundhi…ee idea neeku ela vachindhi?nenu nee blog lo choosina recipes naku vere ekkada kanipinchaledu…ur blog is so special i think……anyway nice presentation too……inka kotta ideas ivvu…a small suggestion…artichokes tho eedaina try cheyyachuga ..

    Looks great raji!
    I am a huge lover of salads..but I am going to be honest here, I can’t possibly try eating this(raw taste of dondakaya never quite did it for me) 🙂
