Beetroot 2 bulbs
Fresh Coconut (grated) 2 tbsps
Salt to taste
Oil 1 tbsp
Chana dal 2 tsps
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Urad dal 1 tsp
Red chilli flakes 1 tsp
Method of preparation:
Wash peel and chop beetroot into cubes.
Heat oil in a pan, add the beetroot cubes and saute for 3-4 minutes.
Now add add talimpu ingredients in order and fry for 2 more minutes.
Finally toss some salt and fresh coconut.
Give it a quick stir and serve with rice or chapathi.
Notes: Add some chopped onions first if you wish.
Be careful as beetroot doesnt take much time to cook.
