Okra/ bendi/ bendakayalu 10
green chillies(small) 3-4
tamarind 1/2 inch sized ball
turmeric powder 1 small pinch
salt to taste
Method of preparation:
Wash and dry the okra. Remove both the edges and keep aside.
With little oil saute bendi for 4-6min or until they become tender.
Grind green chillies, tamarind, salt and turmeric using mortar and pestle taking care not to overdo and then add the bendi to it and smash lightly 4-8 times.
serve with white rice or chapati.
Notes: you can even do the talimpu with mustard seeds, urad dal and asafoetida (inguva).
